SCENE 1
BIG BIRD stands at the bus stop holding several packages & some flowers. HE tells Luis that HE’s going to the post office, then visiting a sick friend in the hospital. As the bus stops at the sign, BIG BIRD remembers various other items HE needs - HIS dirty laundry for the laundromat, a book to go back to the library & HIS unicycle in need of a new tire. Luis darts back & forth from the nest to get them, making the bus driver very impatient. BIG BIRD remembers one more thing HE’s forgotten - bus fare.
Ernie & Bert Licorice

ERNIE & BERT - Ernie has a licorice whip that he offers to share w/ Bert. He divides it in half w/ a pair of scissors, but then discovers that Bert’s half is longer than his. He cuts off a little bit of Bert’s half, & eats it. Then he discovers that his own half is longer than Bert’s, & that’s not fair, so he cuts a bit off of his own, & eats it. Ernie goes back & forth, cutting off more & more, until the licorice whip is gone.
